Deductions: - Sugar > 22.5g/100g: −30 | > 11.25g: −15 | > 5g: −5 - Saturated fat > 5g: −20 | > 2.5g: −10 - Sodium > 600mg: −20 | > 300mg: −10 | > 150mg: −5 - NOVA group 4 (ultra-processed): −20 | NOVA group 3: −10 - Each additive with harm score > 60: −5 per additive - Glycaemic index > 70: −15 | > 55: −5 Additions: - Fibre ≥ 6g: +10 | ≥ 3g: +5 - Protein ≥ 10g: +5 Grade bands: A (80–100) · B (65–79) · C (50–64) · D (35–49) · F (0–34) ## Ingredient harm scoring Each ingredient and food additive receives a harm score from 0–100: - 0–30: Safe / low concern (green) - 31–60: Moderate concern (amber) - 61–100: High concern / avoid (red) Scores are sourced from peer-reviewed literature published by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), FDA (US Food and Drug Administration), and WHO (World Health Organization). Filters are keyword-based at MVP. **Corporate ownership**: See brand → subsidiary → parent company relationships, including listed stock ticker and controversy notes for parent companies. **Farmers market locator**: Find local farmers markets and independent food producers near you, as an alternative to mass-market processed food. **Community posts**: Share scans, tips, and ingredient concerns with other label users.
